Mahmood Al Hameli has over 25 years of proven leadership experience across a diverse range of senior management roles in both public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi. He is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) Group, a leading provider of integrated defense and aerospace solutions in the UAE.
In his previous role as CEO of Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL), Mahmood successfully led the organizational transformation following its acquisition by ADQ/Abu Dhabi Aviation in 2022/2024. His strategic approach focused on stabilizing the business, building a strong leadership team, and driving key transformative initiatives centered on process excellence, best-in-class culture, and continuous improvement, resulting in GAL’s strongest operational and financial performance to date in 2024.
Mahmood plays a significant role in advancing the UAE’s reputation as an integrated hub for aerospace innovation and capability development. Prior to his tenure at GAL, he served as Chief Human Capital Officer at ADQ as well as leadership positions at SENAAT and Emirates Steel. In these roles, Mahmood was instrumental in significantly contributing to the organization’s growth by leading highly effective strategic initiatives.
He is currently a board member of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, serving as Chairman of the Assets Committee. He previously served as board in Al Ain University, the National Health Insurance Company (Daman), and Al Foah Company.
Mahmood holds a post-graduate degree in Strategic and Security Studies from the National Defense College of the UAE and an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from the American University in Washington D.C.
